I won’t use this app until you revert the taskbar icon back to the molecule icon. I’m sure most people who upgraded were disappointed with this change.

Simple little app that does the job well. Configuration and usage is easy to understand and well implemented. A tooltip showing the time remaining would be a welcome addition.

A welcome addition would be if I could switch off a dialog on activation, and just click to activate indefinitely.

amphetamine is the dandiest drug to dismiss my dark mode display’s drowsiness at the drop of a dime. i’d drop dough on it but the developer decided to do a good deed. thank u friend

I love it! I’ve had Caffeine for a while and noticed that whenever I double-clicked on the cup it left a distracting blue box around it, in addition the turn-on times were too short, etc. But this one is perfect! For the people who say they can’t tell whether the app is on or off with the horizontal/vertical pill you can always change the appearance of the pill to a full/empty pill or a molecule (which is what I have!) Great free app! Thank you!

This app had a much better design than caffine, it sould definitely be more popular. Great work on the app.

I loved caffeine, but it was getting old and looking ugly in my retina menubar. Amphetamine is the perfect replacement. All the functionality of caffeine and more, good looking icon that works in dark mode, seems to be updated frequently. Well done! My only negative comment is that I would like the menu bar icon to have a dropdown menu instead of bringing up a dialog like it currently does.

Functionally, this program feels almost identical to caffeine, which is a good thing. It works well consistently, and the settings can be adjusted easily. In particular I love having the ability to pick the menu bar icon. Aesthetically, Amphetamine is far superior to caffeine! There’s almost no interface to begin with, but the whole experience feels slicker and looks more attractive than the outdated caffeine app.

Simple program but very helpful at times. I easily figured out how to operate the app without any hesitation. Thanks to the user intuitive design that has been implemented very well in this app.

This is a perfect App for when I need my mac to stay awake, like when I upload videos! So much easier than changes my settings everytime or using a terminal command.

Hi, thank you for this great utility, can you please add an option to stay awake with the macbook closed, the community wants it dev, thanks again. Update: Thank you x74353. There you have it you can’t add the option for no sleep with the lid closed for this app. Update to 5 stars, the app does what is says, it’s free with many options that are helpful.

More customizable than Caffein.

This app is like a more indepth version of caffeine. This app is retina, allows for much more customization, and is totally worth downloading to replace caffeine or be a new app on your mac.

I had been putting up with that awful Owly app for entirely too long. Caffiene is totally abandoned, and this takes its place nicely.

Props to the developer for continuing to support such a necessary utility. The new coffee cup icon is just icing on the cake.

The app is great, does what it says and more, has a lot of configuration options, Id recommend it. One feature Id like to see is a hotkey for toggling Amphetamine on and off. Keep rolling out updates, devs!

Wonderful app and I’m impressed that it was just updated with a 2.0 version! So cool of the developer.

The big update was solid and I like the new coffee mug icon. There was a bug that the low opacity icon option didn’t work in the dark OS X menu bar mode. This regression was fixed very quickly. Thank you! And with the latest update the coffee mug’s alpha matches the e.g. disabled system Bluetooth icon. Overall great!
